Kathy McGuinn was born and raised in Asheville North Carolina. She graduated from Mars Hill College and went on to become a Registered Nurse. Kathy worked in many fields including pediatrics, oncology, geriatrics and mental health. In 1999, she founded Advantage Home and Community Care with her mother, Margaret McGuinn, and provided at home health care to the people of Western North Carolina.
By 2006, after eating a traditional American diet her entire life, Kathy was in poor health. She suffered from debilitating migraine headaches 3-4 times per week, fibromyalgia-like symptoms, and depression. Kathy was placed on a number of prescription medications which only created new symptoms and lead to a further deterioration in her quality of life. Despite her conventional medical training, Kathy sought alternative medicines and alternative lifestyles in order to heal herself. She turned to raw foods, holistic medicine, chiropractic care, and energy healing. After only weeks on a raw food diet, Kathy experienced a dramatic improvement in her health and wellbeing. Her migraines stopped, her pain and soreness disappeared, and she was no longer depressed. Not only did she recover from her ailments, she felt the best she had in her entire life. She was happy,
healthy, and free from both disease and medication.
In 2009, Kathy McGuinn and Adam Konecny decided that they would found Sinless Raw Foods in order to share the gifts of health and wellbeing that they had both experienced, to show people from all walks of life that raw, vegan food can be both delicious and healthy.
In 2007, Adam Konecny had a sudden Type-1 Diabetic diagnosis caused by a viral reaction from pneumonia. Before that he was trained as an engineer and followed the normal standard American lifestyle and traditional health care. When he was told that there is no cure,
he looked into alternative health and changed his life and his perspective of the health industry. Adam attended the Tree of Life, where he learned about the Raw food lifestyle, and where he
met Kathy McGuinn. Raw food helped reduce Adam’s insulin requirements from 4 shots per day down to 1. Since then he’s dedicated himself to helping people understand that there is a better
way to help the body heal itself. Adam and Kathy hold informational seminars to spread awareness about the wonderful health benefits of the raw food lifestyle, and they founded Sinless Raw Foods inc. together in 2010 in order to provide raw, vegan, low-glycemic foods to people from all walks of life.
I am Ian Pitts, Kathy McGuinn’s son I am. I have worked in many parts of Sinless Raw Food's factory remodeling, development and product development marketing. I was born in Asheville, North Carolina and have lived there for most of my life. I am vegan and very interested in improving the health of young people everywhere. Another true passion is for art and music. My brother Bryce and I are in a band called The Waking Suns. I also enjoy building guitars as much as I love playing them.
I’ve been a part of Sinless Raw Foods from the very beginning. I’ve enjoyed making the chocolate, sampling it, as well as being involved in business development. I was raised in Asheville, North Carolina. The city has been a huge influence on my love for art, and for the outdoors.
I was born and raised in Asheville North Carolina. I am Ian’s brother, and Kathy McGuinn’s son. I graduated from Asheville School in 2006, and went on to attend Vanderbilt University, the University of North Carolina and Warren Wilson College. I left school this fall to work at Sinless Raw Foods, and to pursue music with my brother in our band the Waking Suns. I love working for our family’s business, and I love teaching people about the wonderful health benefits of raw, organic food, and raw chocolate.
